The Society of Entrepreneurs is a group of individuals who have come together to celebrate and honor the entrepreneur, keeping the spirit alive for the propagation of success in current and future generations of business and community leadership. Those eligible for membership into the Society of Entrepreneurs are nominated annually by peers and must meet certain basic criteria. They must be mature entrepreneurs who have exhibited the following: personal business achievement, self-direction, leadership, personal integrity, determination, creativity and the ability to transform a vision into a dynamic business achievement. They must have shared the rewards of these endeavors by doing charitable deeds and by participating in community leadership and other civic endeavors. Members in the Society must reside or have lived in the Memphis area during the period of some of their major accomplishments.
