Armstrong Relocation
Tom Watson

Since his youth, Tom has worked in the family business, joining full-time in 1970. At that time, Armstrong consisted of two locations, 40 employees and less than $1,500,000 in sales. Since rising to the role of President, Tom has grown Armstrong and Companies to include 22 moving companies, 1,500 employees and nearly $170,000,000 in sales. Armstrong has been the largest household goods agent within United Van Lines each year since 1984, and is consistently recognized for service quality, recently winning the President’s Quality Award as the highest-rated of United’s 500 agents.

Tom’s leadership has spawned a variety of complementary concepts, including:
Primacy Relocation: Provider of global relocation management services with eight domestic and nine international offices; the fourth largest firm in its industry, handling over 29,000 assignments annually; recognized by the Trippel Survey & Research as the top-performing company of its kind, both domestically and internationally. (Tom started this company from scratch and it has annual revenue of $70 million.)
Relocation Management Worldwide: Provider of web-enabled move management services for corporate and governmental clients; the leading provider in markets wherein it participates, including household goods, facilities/commercial and mission-critical freight.

Tom is also active in the community; including association with The University of Memphis (Distinguished Alumni, 2005; Ambassador; Board of Visitors, Founding Member; Tiger Club), Memphis Heart Gala, American Heart Association, Youth Villages, Make-a-Wish Foundation of the Mid-South, and Memphis Inter Faith Association, just to name a few.
